I agree Joel. I think it is just a wording thing. Our words, as the church, are so crucial to those around us. We have to be aware of how we sound. I would have agreed with "live at".

Brent! so so glad you came over to the site bro.

Ya know I never thought about that and I think its just a wording issue.

I think it was not meant to say "these are the songs birthed in my church"
But I think what it meant was..."this is a concert I did in my church building. and we just so happened to record it so you could enjoy it to."

The word "FROM" is the issue

It should say "LIVE: AT (insert church name)"

Finally getting around to checking the new digs out and the place looks great! Love what you guys are doing.

I'm a Jared Anderson fan. Love the Desperation band stuff as well. From what you guys are saying, this one is good as well.

But the other say, I saw an ad fro this CD and only one thing caught my attention. The title. "Live from MY church". I am sure I am too sensitive to this, but this seems like one of the more inappropriate titles I have ever seen on a worship album. The idea of the THE church coming togather and singing songs in unity to worship God, has absolutely nothing to do with Jared's church. it has everything to do with the kingdom. I would like to see more of an emphasis on unity in the church and less of a statement of separation.

I am sure his intent was to say, here are songs birthed from my building and my life and the community I live with. But for some reason, it still rubs me wrong.

Am I way off?

Hey guys - great reviews. I'm surprised that none of you mentioned that "Glorified" on this record is really "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman! Anyone notice that?

Guys, this is my first visit to 'The Joint', and I am grateful for this resource! Your honest reviews of 'Live From My Church' have informed me that, as a worship leader, I should check this record out to see if there are songs for our praise band. I am grabbing the RSS feed for 'The Joint' right now! Keep up the good work, boys, and may the good Lord continue to bless your ministries. - AG
