Yeah Mike I agree. Which is what’s totally weird. No Not One sounds wildly different than Brandon Heath’s and then Marvelous Light?!? What? And don’t get me started on Hosanna.

I think cover songs work if you bring something fresh to the table, or work them to suit your particular style. Not (especially on a national release) if you sound too much like the original.

Wow it seems that cover songs are tricky. Interesting that the ones found here appears to have been counterproductive.
