SYNOPSIS

KLAMPERT: Vicky Beeching…I have been enamored with Beeching’s talent since Vineyard put out “Holy”. There is something about her music that I just love. When you listen to it there is such integrity. You believe she wrote these songs out of heart and not just to get on the radio. In a world where worship music has become a “market” if not THE market it’s fantastic to see a woman worship leader break the mold by giving us music for the church that is not full of lyrical drivel. My kids won’t stop singing “salvation day”. I honestly think “Deliverer is the best track on there.

BYRD: I’ve been following Vicky Beeching on Twitter for what seems like forever but honestly didn’t have anything of hers in my music collection until now and thank goodness it’s good!! B/c I would hate to be disappointed after all this time following her! Ha. Seriously, it’s even hard to describe but this is just yummy goodness! An EP does it’s job when afterwards you go, “I WANT MORE! 3 songs isn’t enough!” And I absolutely feel that way after these 3 songs.
The 3 tasty morsels we get are just so dang catchy and singable and they’re good lyrics too! I’m so sick of people saying that you’ve got sing the old tunes to get lyrical content. I believe these 3 songs deliver on musicality as well as theology. My old Baptist roots are just giddy over a song that sings about my Salvation Day but I think Blessing and Honour capture me the most. Regardless, don’t miss this introduction to Vicky Beeching.

MAHONEY: I’ve said this before: I don’t listen to a lot of female artists.  Vicky Beeching could seriously make me rethink that.  Not even for the vocals, which are great, but for the songwriting, which is amazing.  There is such an openness and transparency to her lyrics.

These songs are fresh and inviting, in a way.  Well, certainly inviting, because after you listen to the three tunes on the EP, you’re going to ask for more.   The only negative I would throw onto the whole deal is that it seems you can only buy the EP on iTunes.

VANCE: I’m nearly ashamed to say it, but I’ve sang Vicky’s songs for years but I think this is the first time I’ve actually heard her sing!  She has a really great voice – I love it!  With me living in the States now I’m a bit of a sucker for the British accent, so that’s an added bonus too.

(Vicky – you have spelt ‘Honour’ wrong on the EP cover…)

The EP has three songs on it and they are brilliant!  The song writing is top class and some of the song bridges are just beautiful.  There is also a freshness about these songs that will help them stand out.

BOTTOM LINE
KLAMPERT: Simple as this…It’s an EP. Vicky only had 3 songs to convince me that I want to spend my $9.99 when her full CD comes out. After hearing the EP I’d pay $29.99 to get the rest of it if I had to.
Rating: ★★★★½
BYRD: The EP has me! Hook, line, and sinker on the musicality, beautiful vocals, singability, and some solid content. Come on full length!
Rating: ★★★★½
MAHONEY: Get this EP, and prepare yourself for what has to be a great album, Eternity Invades.  Vocals, hooks, lyrics… it’s all there. Rating: ★★★★½
VANCE: Based on the three songs here I am really looking forward to the album release!  Get the EP now to tie you over in the meantime!
Rating: ★★★★½

Vance, “honour is the british spelling of “honor”.
However, ironically you have spelled “spelled” wrong. “spelt” is a grain.

    lol
