KLAMPERT: We already reviewed this CD a while back. I guess we were cutting edge because when we did it most people thought “how he loves” was a crowder or Jesus Culture song. Now JMM is signed with Integrity and they are trying real hard to get his name out there and I really hope it works. JMM is brilliant, different, old school and at the same time has a modern sense of worship. He is a classic folk rocker who uses lyrics masterfully. The new additions to this version did not ruin the “perfect” album he had before. Surprisingly it made it even more perfect. I love the new songs. Carloina Tide is awesome. |

| BYRD: I missed the full review of this CD when we released it a while back on The Joint Review but I thought it was BRILLIANT! I was terrified seeing the Re-release having an additional 3 tracks w/ the new single version of How He Loves. A perfect 10 track CD that packed a whallop just turned into 14 songs with over an hour of listening time. My desire is to be left wanting more not bludgeoned to submission. THAT BEING SAID, this feels like a little mini-EP. I LOVE IT! Ten Thousand is still the perfect ending spot for the CD and Carolina Tide, My Only, and Between the Cracks feel like a tender bit of dessert after a full meal! And the new version of How He Loves is hands down my favorite after the newly released live version video. |

| MAHONEY: In the months since I first heard The Medicine, it has been in regular rotation on my mp3 player. The album was, and is, simply brilliant. Since you now have the opportunity to buy it – go get it! The new songs add some more flavor and value to it, including the addition of “How He Loves.” | |
| VANCE: We reviewed this album a while back on the joint review. This re-release (due to signing with Integrity) adds four tracks to the original recording – Carolina Tide, My Only, How He Loves and Between The Cracks. To be honest I don’t know if it adds much value to what was already a great album. It’s nice to have How He Loves now on the same package. | |
| BOTTOM LINE | |
KLAMPERT: It was perfect before and now it’s even better. I am really excited that JMM is starting to become a household name. It is about time we see some non cliche songwriters in the industry. Thank you JMM for finally breaking the mold of all the same drivel we continually hear and see. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| BYRD: I think for those who missed The Medicine the 1st time around you’re in for an incredible treat! For the uber-fans you’re going to really dig these 3 new tracks! I think what John has done vocally and James Duke does sonically on the guitar are unbelievable magic and these extra 3 tracks w/ this version of How He Loves really showcase what they’re capable of. [Rating 5/5] | |
MAHONEY: . I have a feeling John’s career is just taking off. More so now that the folks at Integrity are on the job. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
